Step 2: The flowers.

Go with something springy & sweet, like peonies or tulips. Some of our favorites in the area are Orly Khon Florals, Sienna Farms, and Table & Tulip.

Step 3: The brunch.

Make a reservation or plan for the meal at home. Can we suggest this wheat beer cocktail, Here Comes the Sun?

Ingredients
1/2 ounces rye whiskey
3/4 ounce ginger syrup*
1/2 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 ounce Wheat Beer
Garnish: lemon wedge

Instructions
1. Add the whiskey, ginger syrup and lemon juice into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
2. Strain into a chilled coupe, and top with the beer.
3. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

*Ginger syrup: In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup fresh ginger juice (squeezed from freshly grated ginger root) until warm over low heat. Do not let the juice boil. Add 1 cup sugar, and whisk until sugar is dissolved. Store the syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
